"I have worked with Shelley for some time and most of the novels she's edited for me have been published. Shelley puts one hundred percent into everything she does and, since setting up The Shelley Instone Literary Consultancy, has sent us some top class manuscripts. Authors who are lucky enough to have worked with her are very enthusiastic about how much their work has improved as a result."

2013 has seen Lara Williamson and Rupert Wallis gain publishing deals. Lara has secured a two book deal with Usborne whilst Rupert has secured a two book deal with Simon & Schuster. .
We have a network of highly regarded and successful literary agents. These are: The Eve White Agency, Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV and Film Agency, Darley Anderson Children's Book Agency, The Miles Stott Children’s Literary Agency, The Catchpole Agency, The Susan Yearwood Literary Agency and Catherine Pellegrino & Associates.
Our editorial reports cover a copy, structural and creative edit. We give our writers a reading list alongside a critical and analytical report. We aim to generate ideas and encourage writers to stretch themselves. We also want to support writers through the editorial process by giving assistance and advice on submitting to agents and publishers. The personalised nature of the service that Shelley offers makes her unique amongst literary consultancies and is the reason for her swift success. Writers are offered a bespoke editorial service. There are no gimmicks, it is purely about the editing and what can be achieved from it.
The close links that we have established with agents is due to the confidence they place in the ability of The Shelley Instone Literary Consultancy to nurture, mentor, guide and teach new talent how to write for a commercial market. This is clearly demonstrated through their own words on this website (what the agents say).
